During the Retreat:

We aspire towards offering our retreatants an illuminating experience. In order to create an atmosphere conducive to this we suggest the following guidelines during the retreat:

    • We encourage Ahimsa – non-violence to self and others in words, thoughts and actions.
    • Try to engage in as many of the sessions as you are able. The workshops are aimed at offering different perspectives to observe from. Although we understand that one or two may not be for you, we encourage you to give them a try- often trying something new also offers something new.
    •  Try to maintain continuity with grounding, steadiness and the support of the people around you. This will help you to receive the deepening that this retreat has to offer. Please feel free to discuss any challenges and difficulties with a member of The River Tree team.
    • Smoking, alcohol or recreational drugs are not permitted in any area of the resort.

Deposit and Payment Guidelines:

    • All bookings are provisional until you have received a confirmation email after which the deposit is required within 3 working days or your place will be freed up to others who may be interested.
    • Your place will be confirmed after you have paid the deposit and full payment is required 6 weeks before the start of the retreat.
    • It is important for us that cost does not limit anyone from attending the retreat. If you need financial assistance please email brief details of why you think you may be eligible for our discounted rates.
    • Booking conditions may be subject to minor alterations.
    • In the unlikely event of needing to cancel the scheduled retreat you will receive a full refund for the cost of the retreat. The River Tree will not however be responsible for other expenses incurred. However, every effort will be made to help you find an appropriate alternative.

Cancellation Guidelines:

We will offer a few spaces on a waiting list in case of cancellations. However, late cancellations may leave some spaces unfilled as people on the waiting list may have made other plans. For this reason we have the following cancellation policy:

    • You will receive a full refund minus any transaction costs incurred by The River Tree if you should choose to cancel 90 days before the start of the retreat.
    • You will receive a full refund and 50% of your deposit minus any transaction costs incurred by The River Tree should you wish to cancel anytime between 60-89 day before the start of the retreat.
    • You will receive a full refund minus your deposit and minus any transaction costs incurred by The River Tree should you wish to cancel 30-59 days before the start of the retreat.
    • If you should choose to cancel less than 30 days before the start of the retreat you will lose you payment unless someone from the waiting list is able to take your place. If there is, then you will receive a full refund minus your deposit and minus any transaction costs incurred by The River Tree.
